Two cities.
One photo strip.
A small photobooth for long distance couples. Open a room, send the link to your person, and take photos together, in the same frame, from wherever the two of you are.
It's free, there's no sign up, and your photos stay on your phones.
You're in the same picture in about a minute.

Open a room
You get a private link. It's random and long, so nobody stumbles into it.
- ii.
Send it to them
On WhatsApp or wherever you talk. Once they open it, the room locks to the two of you.
- iii.
Take the photo
The countdown runs on both phones. Pick a frame and a filter and download it. Then maybe draw something.
For the evenings when you've run out of things to say on call.
A photobooth for two cities
Stand side by side, or get cut out and put in the same scene. Then make a strip, a polaroid or a postcard. The filters are meant to look like film.
Draw together
One page, both of you drawing on it at once. There are prompts for when neither of you knows what to draw (this happens a lot).
Pose guides
Pick a pose and a faint outline shows up on both cameras, so you can line up. Half hearts, holding hands across the middle, that kind of thing.
A scrapbook you share
Stick your photos on a page, add notes and bits of tape. It's saved on your two phones and nowhere else.
Colour together
A little house, two cups of chai, a mandala. Tap a bit to fill it and it fills on their screen too.
Guess my pick
What would they wear to your first dinner back? Which anime villain are they? Answer for yourself, guess for them, then argue about it.
Two hands, one road
A small driving game. One of you can only steer left, the other only right. You will crash into a cow.
Our future flat
Furnish the place you'll live in one day. Drag in a sofa, a cat, a bookshelf, and pin photos of things you like.
Brain duel
The same puzzle pops up on both phones. Be right, be quicker. Ten rounds, and yes, it keeps score.
A tiny escape room
You're locked in a railway waiting room. Each of you sees different clues, so you have to talk your way out.
Hi. My girlfriend and I have been long distance since one of us moved cities. Our calls had turned into “what did you eat” and “okay goodnight”, and we missed actually doing stuff together.
So I made this for us, and then thought other people might want it too. It's not a company and I'm not selling anything. If it makes your evenings a bit nicer, that's all I wanted.

Have an idea, or did something break?
Half of what's here came from someone saying “it would be cute if…”. If you have a game in mind or something didn't work on your phone, write to me. I read all of it.
Just the two of you in there
A room locks to the first two people who open it. Your video, voice and photos go straight from one phone to the other, encrypted by the browser, and I never get a copy. The privacy page has the details.
Things people ask
Is it really free?
Yes. There's nothing to pay for and nothing to unlock later. It runs on free hosting and your phones do the actual work, so keeping it up costs me close to nothing.
Do we need to sign up?
No. Open a room and send the link. Your name and city are only saved in your own browser so you don't have to type them again.
Do you see or keep our photos?
No. Video and photos go straight from one phone to the other, encrypted, and never reach me. If you close the tab without downloading, they're gone. The only thing I keep is a count, like how many rooms were opened today.
Can someone else join our room?
No. The room locks to the first two people who open it, and anyone after that gets turned away. The link is a long random code, so nobody's going to guess it.
How does “same place” work if we're in different cities?
Each phone cuts its person out of their room (on the phone itself, nothing is uploaded) and both of you get placed in one picture, like a terrace at night or a train window. It looks like you were standing next to each other.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Recent Chrome, Safari or Firefox, on Android, iPhone or a laptop. One of you on a phone and the other on a laptop works fine too.
